The Proctor District is one of the oldest shopping areas in the city and was one of the six original business districts organized through the City of Tacoma’s Neighborhood Business District Revitalization Program. Since 1991, volunteers have worked diligently to beautify the district with historic street lighting, trees, planters, and public art. Our inviting streetscape, signature special events such as Proctor Treats and the Proctor Arts Fest, and wide variety of shopping and dining choices have made us a shopping and entertainment destination throughout the year.

How to Find Us? Proctor is located in Tacoma’s historic north end, just minutes from downtown and State Route 16. Our charming little district stretches from Adams Street and Mason Avenue, and from 24th to 28th streets. A historic clock at the intersection of North 27th and North Proctor streets, created by Tacoma’s own world renowned clock maker, Doc Ferrens, marks the heart of the district. Just look for the clock and our whimsical sidewalk art the corner of 26th and Proctor and you’ll know you’ve arrived in Proctor!
